LAVENDER WANDS, AN ANCESTRAL PROVENCAL TRADITION…

In the heart of Provence, lavender, the very essence of sun and summer heat, covers the hills with an undulating purple haze. Derived from the latin word ‘lavare’ meaning ‘to wash’, lavender was a ritual herb in Roman baths. Since ancient times herbalists have recognized the healing and anteseptic properties for calming insect bites, relieving head ache and rhumatism and even for avoiding the plague !

De la main à la main

“De la main a la main” is a collection of short films following craftsmen, artists who use their hands every day to create. A short film to show that everything around us was coined by someone’s hand, imagined, worked, designed by one person. Short films to remember that the things around us do not suddenly appear like magic. Because before being a pearl it is a piece of glass that a woman worked and melted. Before being a chair is wood that has been carved and sanded by a man. Before finishing on a plate, it took care of a seed so that it becomes tomato. Obvious when you think but sometimes forgotten.
